The chanting builds and rises, almost deafening. Princess Shroob is at the head of the pack, leading the Shroobs in a chorus as the ground around you shakes. A dark purple light pulses from beneath the Throne, a heartbeat in the very core of the earth itself slowly getting louder and louder. This is it, the final battle. Will the hope in your hearts win out against the despair in the Shroobs? Let's find out, shall we?
MURDER QUESTIONS
DIFFICULTY: HARD (Threshold: 70 points)
Q1: Who is the Victim? (25 points)
Given Answer: The "victim" is, in fact, the original Princess Shroob.
Actual Answer: 100% Correct! Princess Shroob is our victim in this case. A rather fiendish plot, wouldn't you agree? A copy killing the original to take over the Throne. The key to this mystery was if Squeaks had been killed again, and to hide the identity of the victim to further reach those ends. 25 points here.
Q2: How were they killed? (25 points)
Given Answer: She was turned into a limestone statue using a Statue Leaf and then melted on top of the Stuffcophagus, leaving a fleshy puddle behind.
Actual Answer: Once again, spot on! In order to hide their identity, our Blackened elected to melt the victim into a rather disgusting congealed goo. Melting a hole into the Stuffcophagus allowed them to make it seem like some horrific creature had escaped from the box. Another 25 points.
Q3: When were they killed? (10 points)
Given Answer: During Action 4. While she began dissolving immediately, total dissolution of her and the Stuffcophagus below her took upwards of an hour to complete.
Actual Answer: For posterity's sake, I will explain but yes this is 100% correct as well. Excellent work! Melted with a loud and obvious sizzle indeed. 10 points.
Q4: What was used to melt the body? (15 points)
Given Answer: Nitric Acid, lovely or otherwise, taken from the Shroob Shop. Nitric Acid easily melts limestone, and can even dissolve iron and steel.
Actual Answer: Well well, good eye there. The actual concoction was a mix of Nitric Acid, Soda, and Vinegar to really speed up the melting process of the Limestone before the Statue Leaf wore off, but Nitric Acid would've done the job well enough here. Nitric Acid was also what left the strange green stains on the steel box, due to the reaction. 15 points.
Q5: Who killed the Victim? (25 points)
Given Answer: Princess Shroob herself—or rather, her clone. She was served cherry wine made from a Double Cherry, forming a clone of her. This clone then incapacitated the original before turning her to stone and melting her.
Actual Answer.: I suppose...you indeed have a point. The "who" in this case could be of two minds. Who killed, and who made her kill. Since I did not specify which of the two you were answering, either one would've sufficed. Copy Princess Shroob killed the original exactly in the manner you described. 25 points.
{Total Points:}100/100 PERFECT
Threshold Met! Success?
Wait why isn't she stopping?
The chanting increases in fervor, the walls booming with the sounds of their alien language. A small panel pops up on your podium, asking for more answers. More!? But ho-oh wait Keziah has already answered them. Let's go over those now.
SECRET QUESTIONS
DIFFICULTY: HARD (70 points)
SQ1: Why did they have to die? (XX points)
Given Answer: It's possible the Visione a Fungo in the Mothership Control Room actually allows the user to take control of Princess Shroob. If this were the case, it would make sense that she would immediately take action to kill the controlled self, passing rulership of the Kingdom to the nearest Princess: herself.
Actual Answer: This theory, while seemingly outlandish, is actually...correct. The one answer I needed though...was why. Why did she have to die, why was this clone created? This is a half answer, and deserves half points. 10 points to be exact. All will be explained soon, I promise.
SQ2: Where is the Cobalt Star Core? (xX points)
Given Answer: Somewhere within present-day Peach's Castle—it can be presumed that alongside the Double Cherry, Squeaks' Time Ghost attempted to help save the rest of us by sending it our way through the transporter in the Mothership Control Room. This transporter can only send to rooms within the Castle, so it must be here somewhere!
Actual Answer: Well now, your theory is correct. It certainly is in Present Day Peach's Castle. Full points if you could've given me the precise location, but that was more of a pipe dream than anything else. 25 points. It's location shall be revealed soon enough.
SQ3: What is Princess Shroob planning? (XX points)
Given Answer: Quoth the Shroobs' chanting:
"Oh great parasite, grow and fester beneath the planet. Sink deeper and deeper into the crust of the earth until you penetrate the the core and infect it from within. Says the great shroob gods, hail Lavos, consumers of planets! May you rise tomorrow and bring ruin upon these puny organics!"
It would seem Princess Shroob aims to awaken a being by the name of Lavos, who is perhaps the Shroobs' original progenitor, whose purpose is to feed on this planet and bring about its destruction. Gnarly!
Actual Answer: Yes! You have solved it! I knew you could! When our beloved savior Lavos rises after feeding on the core of the Earth, it shall turn all organics into glorious fungi! Oh what happy day! 20 points!
SQ4: How can we escape this fate? (XX points)
Given Answer: We hope to circumvent Lavos and the Shroobs as a whole by reconstructing the Cobalt Star, with which we can go back in time again and restore our timeline before the Shroob infection.
Actual Answer: Reconstructing the Cobalt Star? Why would you ever want to do that? Don't you dare try it! Go back in time? Hah I laugh, how can you possibly do that when the Time-a-Tron is under our control?
...10 points.
SQ5: Who is truly behind this? (20 points)
Given Answer: Professor Elvin Gadd, that nincompoop.
(also I guess Lavos too)
Actual Answer: I suppose if you want to blame it on somebody, why not use that scientist as a patsy? Lavos has nothing to do with the copy of me taking control. Princess Shr-I mean my plan would've gone off without a hitch even if she wasn't killed! But it did give us the last bit of despair needed to well...jump start our sleeping god I suppose...

Ending B Achieved!
Please be patient, your ending will arrive in the next 3-5 business days. Before then, you have one final chance to find the CORE. Be quick my friends for I fear you have little time left. My last gambit seems to have gone rogue. I had not realized how far along you were. Should you manage to seal them away, perhaps there is a better ending in store for the true PUPPETMASTERS. Think long and hard, and make your final guess when you're ready. There are no hints. You get one guess. Do it while she's distracted! -S
Think of everything discussed in this trial. Every word typed, everything said. There is one clue to where it might be. Should you guess correctly, I will reward you. Your ending is not set in stone. There is no ARG stuff here, just pure deduction. My final puzzle so to speak. Discuss as much as you'd like, then let me know when you are ready to guess.
